- 32 YEARS IN SINGAPORE -

For you ladies who are new to Singapore and are interested in meeting some friendly Scandinavian people, the Scandinavian Women’s Association is just what you are looking for. SWA offers you several  interesting events every month to help building up a social network and to keep you busy while you live here. You will learn a lot about Singapore and its culture and have tremendous fun at the same time in all the activities we'll meet up in. You will for sure meet a lot of nice an friendly people along the way.

The SWA  was established in 1975 upon the initiative of  Marit Thome.
Mrs. Thome was Norwegian and lived here in Singapore for more than 36 years. Marit Thome and her friends started SWA to bring Scandinavian women together through various social activities such as classes, tours, visits, lectures and coffee mornings. Further more it became a charitable organization to contribute both financially and personally to families in need in Singapore.
